He was an artist of considerable talent as is shown in the eight plates which depict the tongue in health and disease.” – Robert Froriep war Prof. der chirurgischen Anatomie an der Berliner Universität, Konservator des pathologischen Museums der Charité und ausgestattet mit einem vorzüglichen Mal- und Zeichentalent, so daß er an die Akademie der Künste berufen wurde (s.
